The school was built in the 1950’s and named after Richard Parkes Bonington, a locally born artist. It occupies a large, attractive site with extensive grounds and facilities.
Our school prides itself on it’s friendly and caring atmosphere. Our aim is for our children to be happy, confident, motivated and independent learners and we support them in every way to be the best they can be. We want our children to have high aspirations and discover new talents.
The school offers a curriculum which is creative and allows for excitement to run alongside enrichment. We have an inclusive approach and strive to achieve the highest possible standards for all our children. Our curriculum is enhanced by our outdoor provision, including OPAL play and our excellent ‘Forest school’.
We see the development of your child as a partnership between home and school and enjoy working closely with our families to help the children reach their potential. This is reflected in our motto “Together we make a difference’.
