Year 5

Welcome to the Year 5 page

Welcome to the Summer term in Year 5.

Your Year 5 teachers this term are:

Mrs Cookson, Mrs Hall, Mrs Bailey and Mrs Deller.

Some important things you need to remember are:

PE days are Mondays (outdoor Games) and Thursdays (indoor PE) - Remember to come to school in your PE kit.

Remember, you will still need to read 2 times each week as well as going on Doodlemaths 2 times each week. You must have this signed in your organiser. If you continue reading every week, you will be a fantastic reader by the end of Year 5 and be able to come to the reading treat each term! Doodle Maths and Doodle tables are also an important part of your learning as they will support your progress in maths at school.

Spelling tests are every Friday ( Mrs Deller's group Thursday) Make sure you practise your spelling words at home before your test.

Guitar lessons are on Tuesdays and Woodwind lessons are on Wednesdays.

Our topic this half term is a history topic " Why was King Alfred Great?"

This term our Science topics will be  " Forces" and "Animals Including Humans"
