Phonicsplay (lots of games to practise your phonics)
Children in Year 1 can use this website to play lots of different games. These will help them to become really confident with their phonics.

Select the Phase you want at the top and then you can choose games to help you practise blending and segmenting or to help you learn your tricky words.
Remember that your child will learn to read by progressing through the phases...
At the start of Year 1 the children will already be able to read words containing the Phase 2 GPCs and be able to access many of the Phase 3 and 4 activities.
During the Autumn term we recap our Phase 3 and Phase 4 learning and begin to learn Phase 5.
During the Spring and Summer terms we cover the whole of Phase 5 and consolidate our understanding of the new graphemes for reading and the alternative pronunciations.
