Week 8 Topic Activities

Welcome to this week's topic activities. We are going to be doing a mini topic all about AFRICA! This is because one of the 54 countries that make up Africa is Ghana, and this is where the Anansi stories began... Have a look at the link below to find out some interesting facts all about this incredible continent. We have added geography, art and music activities as well as looking at some more Anansi stories. Also added is a history lesson from BBC Bitesize about another historical figure. This week's figure is Nelson Mandela, an amazing man who changed South African history forever. We hope you enjoy having a go at some of these activities-Happy Learning!smiley
Maybe after looking at the resources above you could make a fact file about Africa...You could include side headings like Countries, Animals, Flags, Landmarks and Landscapes (rivers, mountains, deserts etc) 

Can you label the continents of the world?

Have a look at this map of Africa- Can you count the countries and find Ghana the home of Anansi?

Can you colour in this map of Africa and remember some of the countries there?
