Monday

Have a go at two daily 10 activities. Select – Level 2 – multiplication – 2x, 5x, 10x’s. If you want to challenge yourselves, set the time to 10 or 15 seconds rather than 20.

Today’s session again focuses on making equal groups. Watch the video/PowerPoint and then complete the worksheet.

Wednesday

Starter Activity - Practise your times tables on 'Hit the Button'. Try your 2x, 5x and 10x tables.

Today we are going to be looking at repeated addition. You will need a pen and paper and lots of pairs of socks. Join in with the activities and see how we write a repeated addition number sentence.

This will be set as an assignment so you can take a picture of your child’s repeated addition number sentences that they do (from the video and independently) and attach that picture when you ‘Add work’ to the assignment file on Teams.

Wednesday Maths Work - Repeated Addition

Watch the video and join in with the activities. Have a pen and paper ready and pairs of socks.

Thursday

Starter activity – Please complete both Flashback 4 activities (attached below). The answers to these can just be written down, they do not need to be submitted back to us.

Today’s lesson is about linking multiplication to equal groups. Previously we have been creating number sentences using addition. This is called repeated addition. Now we want to link these two concepts together. Watch the video/PowerPoint and complete the worksheet and send it back to us.

Friday

Every Friday, we are going to look at strategies to use to help us answer mental Maths questions. This week we are going to focus on mental Maths questions that involve number bonds to 10, 20 and adding a single digit number and a single or 2-digit number up to 20. To get warmed up, practise your number bonds to 10 and 20 on 'Hit the Button'. Then watch the video and join in with the activities.
