Week 3 WB 18.1.21

Today’s lesson is all about editing and improving sentences. There are three sets of information about three different animals, an orangutan, snake and macaw. You need to choose one (or two or three if you would like) to edit and improve. Check for capital letters, full stops and add adjectives.

This word does need to be submitted back to us.

Monday English Work

Today we would like you to research an animal that lives in the rainforest. We are going to ask you to pretend to be this animal later on in the week and next week to write a diary entry, so make sure it’s an animal you like. You might want to find out about where they live (their habitat), what they eat, what they do, any special features and what they look like.

Make notes on this, ready to share tomorrow.

Today we would like you to answer some questions about the animal you researched yesterday.

Under each question, can you write what you have found out and then submit it back to us. You can add extra information if you want to.

Wednesday English Work

So today we would like you to plan a day in the life of your rainforest animal. Use the diary plan provided to think about what you animal will do when they first get up, different activities throughout the day, ending up at going to bed.

This is to prepare for writing a diary entry next week.

You do not need to send this in to us.

Thursday English Work

Today we would like you to follow the PowerPoint to remind yourself/learn about writing a diary ready for next week.

On each page there is a little speaker button, if you click this, you will hear Mrs Phillips reading the information for you.
