Monday
Today’s lesson is all about finding the difference. Remember different is another way of saying take away or subtraction. Watch the video and answer the questions on the worksheet. These answers do not need to be submitted back to us.
Tuesday
Starter activity – True or false? Can you write down whether you think the answer is true or false? This does not need to be submitted back to us.
Today’s lesson is all about finding change. This will mainly focus on subtraction. Watch the video and submit the worksheet back to us. Remember if you are struggling to work out the answers in your head, then you can use partition, counting forwards, counting backwards or a number line (learnt in year 1).
Wednesday
Today’s lesson is about 'Two-step problems'. This is where you have to do more than one thing to work out your answer. Today there is no video, so work your way through the PowerPoint. After you have answered the questions, if you go to the next page, the answers are written in red. NO CHEATING!! Make sure you take your time and look for TWO things to do each time.
**The PowerPoint is available in the 'Files' section on Teams. As the file is too large to upload to the website with all of the audio clips.**
Thursday
Starter activity – Please complete both Flashback 4 activities. The answers to these can just be written down, they do not need to be submitted back to us.
Today’s lesson is again to practice two step problems. These should build on from yesterday’s lesson just in a slightly different format. Watch the video and submit your answers back to us.
Today is our last lesson on Money, so we would like you to create a “Shop”. Choose different items from around your house, give them a price (don’t forget your £ and P signs) Then practice add 2 or 3 items together.
You could also pretend you are the shopkeeper and give change for something bought. Have fun with your families and try and encourage them to join you. We would love to see some pictures of you at the “shops” so feel free to email these to the Class 5 and Class 6 email addresses.
