Try the revisit part of the lesson where you can sing the alphabet, call out the tricky words and practise forming a letting correctly. Remember to pause the video so you can practise at home. Then you could see how many phonemes you know on the dice before having a go at blending the CVC words.

Join Mr Hughes when he blends words using the digraphs ur and ow today. Where are they in the words? At the beginning, middle or end? Then have a go at segmenting so that you can write the words. For the last part of our lesson try to write the missing words in the sentence. You could try writing the whole sentence yourself. When you write the keywords see if they look right.

This week White Rose Maths have linked all their Early Years work to the story Oliver's Vegetables. We have included all their linked work here, you can do it in any order you like and also pick and chose what you do. To watch the daily video you can follow this link to take you to their page: White Rose Maths

Oliver's Vegetables

This week, White Rose Maths have linked all their activities to the story Oliver’s Vegetables by Vivian French.

You might be growing some vegetables right now in your garden or allotment. What have you planted? Are you waiting for the time when you can start harvesting them and trying them?

Listen to this story being read and then have a go at some of the activities that are on the website.

Oliver's Fruit Salad

Oliver is back with another story all about things that you can grow in your garden. White Rose Maths have got lots of different activities this week related to Oliver and his vegetables and fruit. Have a go at trying some of them.

After Oliver tried lots of different vegetables, he now likes helping grandpa pick the fruit from his garden. Unfortunately he doesn’t like eating them, until grandma and grandpa suggest making fruit salad with all the different fruit Oliver bought at the supermarket with mum.
