Structure of our Home Learning Timetable
Key information
- There is a PowerPoint which will show you/your child how to use TEAMS. You find this on the link just below this information.
- Every day there will be a video from Miss Tutin to explain that days work and where to access this. On a Friday Mrs Cookson will upload a video.
- Every day we will have a chance to meet on TEAMS at 11.30. You will have been sent an invite for this.
- Please remember that the “chat” section on TEAMS will only be for the teachers to communicate with you and your child.
- Every week there will be a timetable uploaded to the website to explain tasks to complete.
- If you need to contact a teacher please email the class email address. One of us will try to get back to you as quickly as possible.
- If your child needs any support with a specific area of learning, please email one of the year 5 team and you will be contacted directly via email for a teacher to provide more support or schedule a 1:1 TEAMS meeting to help.
Maths
- Every day you will watch a video on the White Rose Maths website. This is matched to the year group and topic we are covering.
- This will have an interactive element which children can complete and pause the video if needed to complete the questions in their own time.
- Twice a week, there will be an “assignment” uploaded on one note which each pupil is required to complete and submit back to us via Teams.
- If your child is finding something particularly difficult and you would like some more support, please email your child’s class teacher and they will contact you to provide this.
- If you would like to do any additional Maths practice, please remember that you can access websites such as "nrich" “BBC Bitesize” “Daily 10”.
English
- Every day there will be an English based activity which the children can complete independently or with your support.
- Twice a week, there will be an “assignment” uploaded which each pupil is required to complete and submit back to us via Teams.
- If your child is finding something particularly difficult and you would like some more support, please email your child’s class teacher and they will contact you to provide this.
Topic
- This session may be slightly different each day. It may consist of a history, geography, science, art, DT, P.E or music lesson.
- These do not have to be submitted back to us, but if you would like to keep your work and create a “project book” to bring in after lockdown for us to share as a class.
- If there is anything you would like us to see in the meantime, please attach it to an email to any of the year 5 team, as we would love to see their work!
