For Maths this week, there is an alternative option that you might like to try. It still covers the same area of maths but the tasks are set out differently and there are some quiz questions that you might enjoy. This is optional so choose either the link below or the lessons that are labelled Monday to Friday.

Tuesday

Today we would like you to watch Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock - Part 2. Find the link below! But first.. can you have a go at retelling the first part of the story to your grown up? Can you remember any character names, what happened in the story and or where part 1 ended?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/english-ks1-anansi-and-the-moss-covered-rock-part-2/zf78rj6

Now have a go at reading the story on the page below with your grown up.

Do you know what all of the words mean? If you don't copy them down on some paper and see if you can find out, either with a dictionary, computer or ask someone.

Wednesday

On the worksheet below is part of the Anansi story, except there are some mistakes with the spelling and punctuation! Can you find the mistakes and then change them?

Parents... the answers are on the same sheet so you might want to cut them off first or make sure they can't be seen on the screen!

Thursday

Today you get to plan the next part of the Anansi story. Have a think about what has already happened or rewatch Part 1 and 2 using the links that are on the website already.

Below are some questions that you might find useful to think about.

Friday

How did you get on with your story planning yesterday? I think you are ready to have a go at retelling the story of Anansi and the Moss- Covered Rock. Remember to use your plan to help you and include lots of good sentence starters and exciting vocabulary. Send in some pictures of your great stories or read them aloud for us to put on the video gallery. smiley

You can use the sheet below to start writing your story on and continue on your own paper- Happy writing!
