Can't wait to hear from you! Mrs 😀

Hi everyone,

Miss Gossage, Mrs Oswell and I hope you are staying safe, working hard and enjoying the time with your family.

Some of you have already been adding to our  Yr 4 Twitter account showing us some of the exciting things you have been doing so let's keep that going. It's great to hear from you and see what amazing activities you have been up to.

We have updated your home learning as promised and added a Home learning Timetable that suggests how you can organise your week.

You don't have to do all of the work or even complete it in order, just as long as you are doing some reading and maths each day. As well as this you can be doing some baking, gardening, creating and physical exercise!

Remember to try and have some fun, fun, fun!

MATHS

Parents - if your'e children are saying things like 'We don't add numbers like that' or 'we use the expanded method of multiplication in school!' Then don't panic, help is at hand.

On the front page where it says 'Year groups' you will find the calculation strategies documents. These will show you what strategies we use in school for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There is also a pictorial representation sheet too which show you what representations the children may use to support their working out.

Hope this helps!
