English Spring term

This half term we will be looking at some Narrative poems called THE LISTENERS and THE HIGHWAYMAN. These poems were written over 100 years ago and both tell their own intriguing stories. We will also be looking at Biographies and you will be given the opportunity to research and write your own biography about a person of your choice- so get your thinking caps on!

Watch this space for some of our work which will be added below...

We started the term by looking at biographies about some famous people such as Usain Bolt, David Attenborough and Roald Dahl. In Class 12 we did a BIG WRITE about Nelson Mandela and his struggle against apartheid in South Africa. In Class 11 we wrote our biographies about Mary Secole or David Attenborough. All the children then researched their own facts about someone they each chose. Below are some pictures of our chosen biographies which we all did independently using our own notes to write them.
