Covid 19 updates

Arrivals and Departures

Any gate can be  used to enter and exit the school site from 10 minutes prior to the start/finish of school. However, I would encourage parents of children in years 1-5 to use the top entrance to school where possible, to avoid congestion on the pathways at the front of school.

School times have been staggered to reduce congestion on the school site before and after school. Please read the following information carefully.

Nursery and Reception

Reception first and second week:     Morning children 9.00 to 11.45 am

Afternoon children 12.45 to 3.30 pm

Then 8.45 am to 3.15 pm

Year 1 and 2

Parents should take their child to class from 8.35am. Parents will not be allowed into the classroom or school and we ask that you do not wait in the playground.  Children can be collected from 3.15pm. Dismissal of children make take some time, so please wait patiently, in a socially distanced queue outside class entrances.

Year 3

Parents can drop children off in classes from 8.50am, accessed via the small playground. Parents should collect children from this point at 3.30pm. Dismissal of children may take some time, so please wait patiently, in a socially distanced queue outside class entrance.

Year 4 and 5

Pupils should not arrive at school before 8.50am. Children should make their way to the large playground, where a member of staff will be waiting to direct them straight into school. Children will be dismissed at 3.30pm from the large playground by class teacher or TA. Could parents wait to collect their child keep at a social distance from each other.

Year 6

Year 6 pupils should arrive at school no earlier than 8.50am. They can enter school via the main entrance or large playground and can go straight to class. There is no need for an adult to accompany children to school. Teachers will not wait for children to be collected, as we are trying to keep a social distance from other years groups, unless a specific instruction to do so is given by parents/carers.

Children will leave class a few at a time to avoid congestion.
