We hope you enjoy seeing some of the things we do at Nursery.
Autumn Term 2017
Scroll to the bottom of the page for a new Forest School slideshow.
The children loved seeing Little Blue Monster Productions perform 'Lost and Found'. They were impeccably behaved and entranced throughout the whole performance!
PE is on Monday afternoons for Miss Frankland's and Mr Rex's class and Wednesday mornings for Mrs Campbell's class. Children just need a pair of plimsolls in a drawstring bag to be kept at school. Please change your child's shoes at the beginning of the session on PE days.
Summer Term 2017
Week commencing 15th May 2017
We're really excited to be able to offer 30 hours Nursery provision from September for 3-4 year olds to eligible families. If you're interested and would like more information please contact Mrs Campbell on 0115 9554813 or email: email@example.com.
Week commencing 24th April 2017
We have now put the children into their new groups and will be focusing on phonics teaching this term for the children going up to school in September. With this in mind please see the link below which will show you the 'Pure Sounds' we are teaching for each letter of the alphabet. We don't follow the Jolly Phonics scheme which uses actions although you will see these in the video. Please ensure you are using these sounds when helping your child at home. The 'target sheets' for this term tell you which letter sounds your child is learning. Some of these have been sent home individually and the rest will be included in Link Books.
Week commencing 27th March 2017
We've had a busy week finding Easter Eggs at Forest School and performing Little Red Riding Hood to parents in the hall. Well done to everyone for a fantastic show! We loved all the Easter hats this year, what an amazing effort!
Have a lovely Easter Break and we'll see you on the 18th April!
Week commencing 6th March 2017
This week we have been performing Dear Zoo with some added songs. Is your child singing them at home? Great!!
